What Is In My Journal?

The year 2015 is coming to a slow end and 2016 is approaching soon. Lately I've been having a lot of anxiety and been very nervous because I am now 18 and I'm going to be graduating this year. I guess you guys can say that I am finally growing up. So I decided to get myself a journal to help me stay organize this upcoming year and today I am going to give you guys a sneak peek of what is inside and what I am planning to put inside of it.

The journal that I am currently using is this blue and white striped journal from the company called Eccolo Ltd. On the journal there's also some encouraging messages that is written with gold foil. I got this journal at Target for $8 I believe. I don't really remember since it's been a while since I've had it. It's just that I just started using it now. I did try looking it up on the website but I couldn't find it.*

The first photo in this collage is how the inside of the cover looks like. It has a white background and gold colored polka dots on it. I'm not quite sure if all of their journals from this brand looks like this from the inside to be honest. I have another journal from this same company and it looked the same in the inside. I could have been part of a collection but like I stated, I am not quite sure.

I left the very first page of this journal blank. I'm not sure why but I always seem to always leave the first page blank in my journals and even my school notebooks. But as you guys can see, it's very simple and it doesn't have any designs on it which I like. I like how it doesn't have any designs on it so that I can decorate it with washi and stickers.

When you turn the page again you'll see that I have two journaling cards. It's the Theme Park set from Project Life by Becky Higgins. I attatched them to the page by using double sided tape. I actually ran out of it so I need to get some more because I hate using glue sticks because they just get so messy.

After turning that page over, you will finally see some writing. Before I say anything else, I would just like to apologize for my horrible handwriting. But as you guys can see, it's actually my index page. I just thought that it would have been a good idea to have it since I'm not using this journal for only one thing but for multiple things.

So the very first thing I have is my Christmas related things. All it has is my gift guide and a list of people I want to make cards for. I wrote down all the names of my friends but didn't write any gift ideas because I needed to take photos for this blog post. I originally wrote this all in the notes section in my Happy Planner but decided to switch it over to my journal because my friends actually likes looking in my planner because they think it's cool. I also covered up the names on my Christmas Card list because I had their first and last name on it and some of my teachers down.

After my Christmas planning is my expenses section. I want to try and save money since there are so many things I want to do when I get older. Such as travel. But I also want to go to college and move out and into dorms. I also watched this documentary in my sociology class about homelessness and it kind of scared me and makes me want to try really hard not to use that much money.

On one page I have this pocket thing that I made from patterened papers from Prima Marketing's Something Blue. I also used some called Remarkable from My Mind's Eye. I'm planning to put receipts in there. On the second page, I'm planning to write down some stores in the big column and in the little one is divided by the weeks. I'm planning to write how much I spend at that store a week and at the very end write down how much I spent there for the whole entire month.

I used the Precision Pens on sizes .03, .05, and .08 to write in the pages and as you guys can see, it bleeds through the paper because the paper is not thick enough. I don't mind the bleeding of the ink but if you do, I highly suggest that you find some other options to us. I also used some pens from the Target Dollar Spot to write in my index and in my Christmas Card list.

This is it for my journal so far. It'll definitely become more and more full through the year of 2016 but I just wanted to show how I am setting up for it. If you guys have any suggestions on what else I should keep track of please let me know in the description down below.

Thank you and have an amazing day!
